At the SCAJ Conference in Tokyo, Japanese barista Keisuke Honma (Saza Coffee) won the World Barista Championship 2025, showcasing a Geisha from Finca Janson (Volcán, Chiriquí, Panama).

Panama’s Geisha continues to set the bar in global competitions.

The recognition didn’t stop there. The iconic Hacienda La Esmeralda (Boquete, Chiriquí) also stood out, securing second place reinforcing Panama’s reputation as a powerhouse in specialty coffee competitions.

Panama may be small in size, but its coffee, especially the world-famous Panama Geisha, continues to set global standards of excellence. From Volcán to Boquete, producers dedicate generations of passion and innovation to craft coffees that consistently impress judges, baristas, and coffee lovers around the world.

A reminder that coffee is more than a drink— it’s culture, dedication, and a bridge connecting Panama with the world.
